festa delle donne

Hey all!

Quick update of the last couple of days....sunday me patrizia and veronica went into the centre for a gelato, and we went around the churches and museums which are open for free on sundays.....saw the caravaggio of matthew and the angel, which was really cool, then we went to the pantheon. After that we met manilo and vanya for an aperitivo at this place which was pretty posh, thus expensive, so we just stayed enjoying the music (poor people that we are! :).....after that we met a group of aiesec people at the same bar we went to last tuesday (veronica likes a guy that works there, thus our frequent visits ;). That was sunday. Yesterday was a really long and busy day.....lesson in the morning, then I had to make my way to a company who are clients of the school for this one on one lesson.....bus never passed and I was half an hour late. This is the place that the school want to give me lots of lessons at, but the transport and times make it a little impossible (buses rarely passing and the line finishes before my last lesson ends) so as soon as the lesson finished I went to school to leave a message for the director to let her know that if the problem wasn't sorted then I wouldn't be able to do those lessons since it wasn't safe and was highly impractical (I'm a practical and sensible girlie, I am!). The director called me back today, though I missed her call, and she left a message to tell me not to worry and that the problem would be sorted (how and why remains to be seen, but I shall stand my ground and not agree until I am presented with a solution that I am happy with, don't you all worry! me tough! grrrr :P). Anyway I'll be talking to them about it tomorrow. After the exhaustion of the day, started watching 'Finding Neverland' with Veronica but fell asleep halfway through due to utter exhaustion, so I went to sleep looking forward to my day off, which was today. Slept in for aaaagees, which was really nice (especially in light of the fact that i have to wake up early for work tomorrow) and basically took it easy for most of the day. Got an ammaaaaazing bunch of mimose from Stefan to commemorate women's day.......a day I have never celebrated in my life, so I'm very happy that this was the first thing ever done in my life to mark the day :) they were really special. Went off for my job interview which went really well....the womsn who interviewed me was really sweet and down to earth....she was upfront and told me the pay and that its a weekly payment (i must admit I'm not used to people being so upfront in interviews!), she told me a little about the school and everything sounded great insomma. The only problem, as I anticipated, was my availability. I told her that I work with another language school and that my timetable still needs to be finalised and that they should let me know by the end of the week as to what my hours are (should should SHOULD).....she basically told me to pass by the office with my available times once I knew what they were, and she would see if they have anything for me at any of the centres. Hopefully all will turn out well, but again, it all depends on inlingua and the hours they eventually give me....I'll grill them about it tomorrow as well (seems like I have quite a bit to sort out with them tomorrow......have payment matters as well to sort which should also be ok).
