Just to keep all of you updated as to what I'm getting up to in Italy....trying it out as a supplement to the email thing to see how it works out! I'm not one for online journals but it might be a good outlet for whatevers going through my mind while I'm there! You never know! So yeah.....read on!

Day two

Wow!

Complete and utter exhaustion!

Ok, so I left the flat this morning at around ten and haven't been back since (it is now ten in the evening).....After a slight hassle with the metro (yes, i got slightly lost so those of you who made bets can settle now) I arrived to meet Pamela (the other maltese trainee) at piazza della repubblica and she took me to the school where I met the directors and a couple of the teachers. I spoke to them a bit and they sort of decided to hell with the training, and they're throwing me straight into the deep end tomorrow with 5 or 6 lessons....so basically from 9 till 6 i hae a total of one and a half hour break (ten minutes between each lesson except in one case where I have an hour.....though that hour will most likely be spent finding my way to the other centre since I am teaching in two different centres). Anyways I spent some time planning my lessons and getting myself organised and prepared for tomorrow (it's going to be a long one!).....then after that I made my way to meet dad, and we got practical stuff sorted out. I went to get my Italian SIM card, did a bit of grocery shopping (hilarious experience......expensive too!) and had dinner. Soon about to leave here and say bye to dad since i clearly won't have time to meet him tomorrow morning, but I still really appreciated having him here even for the short time that I did. As from tomorrow I'm more or less on my own (can't really say i'm on my own, veronica is great and totally showing me the ropes and the aiesec people keep checking on me to see that I'm ok...one even turned up at the school today to see that there weren't any problems!).

Anyway off I go.....unsure as to when I'll next be able to provide an update but pretty confident in the whole me-living-in-rome thing at this point in time, so it's all good :) Miss everyone though!
